Fresh Perspective by Bonnie Junell

My intention as an artist is to get the viewer to see even the most familiar subjects with a fresh perspective. I seek artistic inspiration from everyday life and the simple things that make me happy. I toggle between realism and a more painterly approach with the use of both knife and large brushes. Most my work is from my head but I do use reference material for specific objects or when doing portrait work. My favorite time in the studio is when I’m painting very large with tons of paint and my knives so I can just let the intentions flow.
